We work primarily from an Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) framework, helping you better understand your patterns of connection and disconnection. This typically involves looking at the issues, the ways you and you partner pursue and/or withdraw, what’s going on under the surface in your head and emotions, and what you are needing from your partner to bring about greater safety, understanding, and engagement. This can help bring about safety, healing, and connection.
In working with individuals we work from research supported approaches helping clients not only work on your current difficulties, but also exploring the development of your struggles in order to bring about long term healing and growth. We work with you to develop a connection, better understand you, your circumstances, and work with you to find healing, hope, and health. We want to work with you to help you get what you are looking for.
In working with families we use Emotionally-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) and family systems approaches to foster connection, understanding, and healing. Our counsellors work with you to build assess and build levels of safety, understand and develop healthy communication patterns, and care for your individual and family needs. Through this we want to help you take steps forward together.
